TraceTrellis is a digital footprint analysis service that queries publicly available data sources on your behalf. We do not create, own, or control the underlying data — we retrieve and present information that is already publicly accessible on the internet.
DatumTrail is provided free of charge. There is no subscription, no credit system, and no payment required to use any feature of the Service.
You may use the Service for lawful purposes including: background research and due diligence, security research and penetration testing with proper authorisation, journalism and public-interest investigation, and checking your own digital footprint.
You may not use the Service for: surveillance or stalking of individuals, harassment, doxxing, or intimidation, impersonating law enforcement or acting without legal authority, or any activity that is illegal in your jurisdiction.
TraceTrellis only aggregates publicly available data. You are solely responsible for how you use the information returned.
TraceTrellis aggregates publicly available data. We do not store personal data about third parties beyond what is transiently returned by data sources during an investigation. Results are stored in your account for your reference and are not shared with other users.
The Service is provided without any uptime guarantee. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE DATA RETURNED WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DATUMTRAIL'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $10 OR THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
